He earned All‑Ivy League honors three times (2002, 2003, 2004).
He was named Ivy League Player of the Year twice (2002 & 2004).
Over his college career he finished with 70 goals + 162 assists = 232 career points.
He still ranks third all‑time in Princeton history for both assists and total points.
During his time, Princeton won multiple Ivy titles — Boyle was part of championship-winning teams.
Field Lacrosse – Major League Lacrosse (MLL)
Boyle was drafted in the 2004 Collegiate Draft by Philadelphia Barrage.
He was named MLL Rookie of the Year (2004).
Over his professional career, he won 4 MLL championships: three with Philadelphia Barrage (2004, 2006, 2007) and one with Boston Cannons (2011).
By the time he retired from MLL, he held the all‑time assist record (292 assists) and was among the top for career points (6th all‑time with 487).
Box Lacrosse – National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Boyle played box lacrosse for several teams: San Jose Stealth (2005–2006), New York Titans (2007–2009), and Orlando Titans (2010).
He was selected 3rd overall in the 2004 NLL Entry Draft.
In his first NLL season (2005), he was awarded NLL Rookie of the Year, and also claimed the rookie scoring title.
He participated in NLL All-Star Games (2005, 2007) during his indoor career.
International – National Team
Boyle represented the United States on the men’s national field lacrosse team in world championships in 2002, 2006 and 2010.
He helped Team USA win Gold medals in 2002 and 2010; and a Silver medal in 2006.
Off‑Field: Leadership, Legacy & Post‑Playing Career
Boyle is co‑founder and CEO of Trilogy Lacrosse, a prominent lacrosse training and development organization (est. 2005) — showing his commitment to growing the sport and mentoring younger generations.
He is widely regarded as having one of the sharpest “lacrosse minds” ever — known for vision, game intelligence, leadership, and ability to raise the play of his teammates.
In 2023, Ryan Boyle was inducted into the Professional Lacrosse Hall of Fame — honor for his all‑around career success, achievements, and contributions to lacrosse.
