ABOUT US
How it started
GoalieLab Lacrosse, based in Oregon, was created with the mission to elevate lacrosse goaltending in the Pacific Northwest through high-level, accessible training for athletes of all ages. With a focus on technical skill, confidence, leadership, and a true love for the game, GoalieLab provides an environment where goalies can grow both on and off the field.
The program is dedicated to growing the sport in the Eugene community and beyond by creating more opportunities for goalies to learn, compete, and reach their full potential. From youth clinics to advanced collegiate preparation, GoalieLab is building a stronger foundation for goalies across the region — inspiring the next generation to defend the crease with passion and purpose.

MEET OUR COACH
Giuliana Portolesi
Founder of GoalieLab
Giuliana Portolesi is the founder of GoalieLab, a specialized goalkeeper training program designed to elevate boys’ and girls’ lacrosse goalies through intentional, high-quality development.
A former collegiate goalkeeper and current coach at the University of Oregon, Giuliana brings years of playing and coaching experience across the NCAA, NAIA, and youth levels. She is known for her detail-oriented, athlete-first approach that blends technical training with confidence building and game IQ.
Giuliana’s coaching background includes creating goalie-specific practice plans, breaking down performance film, and building individualized development pathways for goalies of all ages. She has advised and trained goalkeepers through private instruction, clinics, team sessions, and college-level practices.
Before launching GoalieLab, Giuliana served as the Lacrosse and Field Hockey Program Director at Lake Bryn Mawr Camp, where she redeveloped two large athletic programs serving more than 350 athletes. Her leadership extended to staff development, program design, and creating an empowering training environment for young athletes.
She also supports William Jewell Women’s Lacrosse as an Administrative Assistant, contributing film analysis, virtual goalkeeper advising, social media management, and operational support.
As an athlete, Giuliana played at the NCAA Division I level at Queens University of Charlotte and the NJCAA level at Onondaga Community College, earning a scholarship and competing at some of the highest levels of collegiate lacrosse.
Through GoalieLab, Giuliana combines her on-field experience, coaching expertise, and passion for goalie development to help every athlete become confident, technically sound, and game-ready. Her mission is simple: build smart, fearless goalies who own the crease — and own the moment.
